Episode 238

1. In your own blog, are you more likely to discuss personal relationships, religion or politics?
   Anything that interests me and is related to me.
2. If you needed a “tagline” or sub-title for your blog, what would you use to describe your blog?
   I change my tagline from time to time. My current tag line is a quote of Ralph Waldo Emerson. "To be great is to be understood."
3. You notice that a close “blog buddy” of yours has suddenly removed the link to your blog from his or her website. Do you contact that person to ask why you’re no longer linked, or ignore it?
   Ignore it. Anyone and every one is free to choose what they want to read and who they want to be as friends :)

   My worst enemy, which I have none :)

   I can't remember. It's been centuries ago!

   I don't even have a car and I can't even drive one.

Episode 235

1. What’s the last movie you watched in the theater?
   "The Simpsons". I think.

   US$10.

   Hotdogs.

   Comedy
   You stumble from one unrealistic situation to another, upset quirky people wherever you go and generally get kicked out and chased around until at the end, everything gets wrapped up in a hurried, almost unplanned fashion. Basically, the exact same thing as the action star, but with more laughing... hopefully...
   
   Downside: Nobody takes you seriously, and if you do too much physical comedy, people on the street start to think that hitting you with stuff is funny and harmless.
   
   Romance
   You're the guy who gets the girl... or the girl who (unlike in real life) ends up with the sweet, caring, gentle man at the end. And when that's over, you move on to the next film and get to experience it all again!
   
   Downside: When that's over, the perfect man/woman goes back to their trailor, drinks, fights with their actual spouse and pretty much leaves you in the dust. Oh, and you never get any "action". That's a different genre...

   Nope.

Episode 229

1. What was the last meal you ordered in a restaurant?
   Chicken noodle.
2. What was the last meal you cooked for yourself?
   I haven't cooked for a long time. I don't feel like cooking if it's only for myself. Since Dad now is on diet and has his own food, I don't cook anymore.
3. Who was the last person you shared a meal with?
   Vivi. Fried rice. Two days ago.

   Almost none. I have lotsa instant noodles, though.

   I criticize everything and everyone, including myself. Blame it on my birth sign. I can't help it as a Virgo!

   Normally, it makes life better. I hope it will.

   I'd firstly try to give her an honest but diplomatic opinion, but if she's too dumb to read between the lines, then I'd tell her frankly.

   He might be a good person who doesn't want to work, or he might be a bad person because he's always had bad luck.

   I still live with my Dad, or my Dad lives with me. I once lived alone in Singapore for 2 years though 12 years ago.
2. What, in your book, makes someone truly independent?
   When s/he is financially independent. This sounds shallow, but money can buy almost everything - so we you have money, you can do almost anything with the money you have.
3. If you had to live for a full year on a deserted island without any other company at all, do you think you would be able to do it?
   Sure, as long as I'm given a cellphone and a computer :)

Creative Adventure XIII

Walking along a wooded side road, I see the cabin ahead. I approach the cabin and on the rocking chair by the door I spot a key that looks like it fits the door lock. I unlock and open the door slowly and I get in side the cabin.

In the cabin by a window there is a window seat chest. Walking over to the chest, I slowly open it and find a treasure box, made of silver.

I suddenly hear a noise coming from the outside, and quickly close the chest and as the person enters the cabin, he says, "What are you doing here, Dwarf?"

Laughing I leave the cabin along without saying goodbye to the man and thinking to myself, "Am I really that short?"

1. What is the first thing you notice about a person (that you are attracted to) when you meet them?
   Sense of humor.
   
2. What has been your worst illness or injury?
   I once a very acute gastric few years ago and was almost admitted to a hospital in Singapore. But my parents told me that when I was a child, I almost died when I was about 1 year-old. I got poisoned by a cigarette paper, given by our neighbor :\
   
3. Have you ever had a secret crush and then told the person? If yes, how did it go?
   Nope. But I knew that there's someone who's much younger than me liked me a lot secretly. I told him at one drunk night that if he were older, I'd be happy to be his girlfriend, but I couldn't because the gap of our age difference is too wide.
   
4. What was the last drink that you ordered at a pub or a bar?
   Draft beer.
   
5. What car have you owned that was your favorite?
   I've never had  car.
   
6. What is your favorite holiday?
   Bali.
7. Have you ever had sex with someone that in retrospect was (and stayed) a stranger?
   Nope.
8. Who is your favorite female singer?
   Hmmm. I've lotsa favorite singers and mostly are male. But if I gotta name one maybe it's Gwen Stefani. Not because of her songs, but because of her fashion style.

   Almost everyday. I like reading the ads :)

   Nada.
2. If you eat a breakfast that involves actual cooking, what are most likely to prepare for yourself?
   Fried rice or Chinese fish porridge.

   Just cold hams and bacons will do.

Saturday 9: Family Ties

1. Where and when were you born?
   Semarang - September 11, 1969.
   
2. Do you have siblings? If yes, tell us more.
   I'm an only child.
   
3. What are your parents’ names?
   Kenneth and Martha.
   
4. Did you (or do you) know all four of your grandparents?
   The only grandparent I never met was Dad's father because he passed away a year (if I'm not mistaken) before my parents got married.
   
5. Do have children? If yes, tell us about them. If no, do you want them?
   My dogs are my children :) But yes, I want to have my own human (not adopted) child(ren) someday.
   
6. Do you still live in the general area that you grew up in?
   Nope.
7. Do you have cousins? If yes, are you or have you been close?
   I have loads of cousins! I am not close to all of them, just some.
   
8. How often does your family all get together?
   Since Mom passed away, Dad and I don't attend the family gatherings anymore. We like it that way.
   
9. Is your significant other close to your family?
   I'm single and have never been married.

   I have a lot, but my favorite are only 3 pairs and sometimes they have a chance to be worn fairly weekly.

   My favorite is Charles & Keith.
   
3. How much did you pay for the most expensive pair of shoes you own? How much was the cheapest?
   The most expensive is slightly below Rp. 300,000 (US$ 30) and the cheapest is Rp. 25, 000 (US$ 2.50).
