Saturday 9: You've Got a Friend

1. Who is your best friend?
   Vivi, Susan, and Danny.
2. How did you meet?
   Vivi and I went to the same university. I met Susan on-line. Danny is a friend of Vivi's and my friend.
3. How long have you known each other?
   Vivi and I have been friends since 1988. I can't remember when I met Susan, my guess is 2001-2002. Danny has been a close friend of mine since 1997.
4. Have you traveled anywhere together?
   Vivi and I went to Bali once together and she visited me once when I was in Singapore. I've never traveled anywhere with Susan and Danny, but I hung out with Susan in Singapore.
5. Did you ever have a problem over a romantic interest that you shared?
   Hahaha. NO! We always fell for different guys :)
6. Have you ever not liked your best friend’s choice of lovers?
   Yes, when they treated my friends badly - but anyway as long as my dear friends want to keep their relationship then I should be happy for them.
7. How long since you have seen your best friend?
   I just met Vivi few days ago. The last time I saw Susan was before she migrated to the UK. The last time I met Danny was on August 17, 2008.
8. Do you remember each other on birthdays and holidays?
   Sure!
9. What is the biggest fight that you have ever had?
   We almost never have had a fight and I hope we will never have one, no matter how small it is.

1. Is the glass half-empty or half-full?
   If it contains water, it's half-full. But if it contains cocktail, it's half-empty ;)
   
2. Are you more of your own worst critic, or do you tend to be everyone else’s worst critic instead?
   I criticize everything and everyone, including myself. Blame it on my birth sign. I can't help it as a Virgo!
   
3. How do you feel about technological advances: are you generally optimistic that a new system will make life better or worse?
   Normally, it makes life better. I hope it will.

   I'd firstly try to give her an honest but diplomatic opinion, but if she's too dumb to read between the lines, then I'd tell her frankly.
   
6. You see a panhandler on the street: which tends to be closer to your immediate impression: that he’s a good person who’s down on his luck or a bad person who doesn’t want to work?
   He might be a good person who doesn't want to work, or he might be a bad person because he's always had bad luck.
   

Creative Adventure XIII

Walking along a wooded side road, I see the cabin ahead. I approach the cabin and on the rocking chair by the door I spot a key that looks like it fits the door lock. I unlock and open the door slowly and I get in side the cabin.

In the cabin by a window there is a window seat chest. Walking over to the chest, I slowly open it and find a treasure box, made of silver.

I suddenly hear a noise coming from the outside, and quickly close the chest and as the person enters the cabin, he says, "What are you doing here, Dwarf?"

Laughing I leave the cabin along without saying goodbye to the man and thinking to myself, "Am I really that short?"

Saturday 9: What Do You Notice?

1. What is the first thing you notice about a person (that you are attracted to) when you meet them?
   Sense of humor.
   
2. What has been your worst illness or injury?
   I once a very acute gastric few years ago and was almost admitted to a hospital in Singapore. But my parents told me that when I was a child, I almost died when I was about 1 year-old. I got poisoned by a cigarette paper, given by our neighbor :\
   
3. Have you ever had a secret crush and then told the person? If yes, how did it go?
   Nope. But I knew that there's someone who's much younger than me liked me a lot secretly. I told him at one drunk night that if he were older, I'd be happy to be his girlfriend, but I couldn't because the gap of our age difference is too wide.
   
4. What was the last drink that you ordered at a pub or a bar?
   Draft beer.
   
5. What car have you owned that was your favorite?
   I've never had  car.
   
6. What is your favorite holiday?
   Bali.
7. Have you ever had sex with someone that in retrospect was (and stayed) a stranger?
   Nope.
8. Who is your favorite female singer?
   Hmmm. I've lotsa favorite singers and mostly are male. But if I gotta name one maybe it's Gwen Stefani. Not because of her songs, but because of her fashion style.
   
9. How often do you read the newspaper?
   Almost everyday. I like reading the ads :)

Episode 212

1. How many days a week, on average, do you eat breakfast?
   Nada.
2. If you eat a breakfast that involves actual cooking, what are most likely to prepare for yourself?
   Fried rice or Chinese fish porridge.
   
3. If you eat a breakfast that requires no cooking, what are you most likely to choose for yourself?
   Just cold hams and bacons will do.

   I don't really like pancakes...

   ... but if I had to have them, I want them plain. No butter/margarine, no syrup.
   

Remembering Childhood

1. As a child I loved to play dolls.
2. As a child I wanted to grow up to be a singer.
3. As a child my favorite thing to eat was ice cream.
4. As a child my favorite relative was my (female) cousin who's 10 years older than me.

Saturday 9: Family Ties

1. Where and when were you born?
   Semarang - September 11, 1969.
   
2. Do you have siblings? If yes, tell us more.
   I'm an only child.
   
3. What are your parents’ names?
   Kenneth and Martha.
   
4. Did you (or do you) know all four of your grandparents?
   The only grandparent I never met was Dad's father because he passed away a year (if I'm not mistaken) before my parents got married.
   
5. Do have children? If yes, tell us about them. If no, do you want them?
   My dogs are my children :) But yes, I want to have my own human (not adopted) child(ren) someday.
   
6. Do you still live in the general area that you grew up in?
   Nope.
7. Do you have cousins? If yes, are you or have you been close?
   I have loads of cousins! I am not close to all of them, just some.
   
8. How often does your family all get together?
   Since Mom passed away, Dad and I don't attend the family gatherings anymore. We like it that way.
   
9. Is your significant other close to your family?
   I'm single and have never been married.

1. How many pairs of shoes do you own right now? Over the course of a single week, how many of them are you likely to wear total?
   I have a lot, but my favorite are only 3 pairs and sometimes they have a chance to be worn fairly weekly.
   
2. At what store do you buy the majority of your shoes?
   My favorite is Charles & Keith.
   
3. How much did you pay for the most expensive pair of shoes you own? How much was the cheapest?
   The most expensive is slightly below Rp. 300,000 (US$ 30) and the cheapest is Rp. 25, 000 (US$ 2.50).
