Friday is here again. It will be 03:00 plus by the time this posting gets posted.
My Thursday morning was pretty depressing. I'd been waiting since Wednesday for A to transfer me the money, and I was even waiting for him the whole night on Wednesday. The frustration raised up in the afternoon as he still didn't send me the money. He's been trying to calm me down, but I didn't buy it. He called me such things like "babe", "white wine". Weird and quite disturbing, but I don't really care as long as he returns all my money. On Wednesday morning he said in the next days, he'd come over to my place with a guitar and singing a dangdut song "Anggur Merah" ("Red Wine"). So since he calls himself as "Red Wine", he calls me "White Wine". I won't tell to his wife though, because she's a bitch who only wanted to be my friend when she needed my help. So fuck. Whatever.
This morning, he said that we both will go to the bank together to settle everything. I hope he will really make it this time. It's been too long. I've been living 5 months in financial hell because they retain my money and can't pay me back! It's all my fault, I know. I trust people way too easily, and I never learn a lesson.
I'm trying not to be racist or discriminative, but I really have never met one good Arab man. Sorry. Anyway, I think camels are cute, though.
The appointment I had with Kiki has been postponed until today. I will meet her after the bank at Bintaro Plaza. I'm so excited!
Last night at 09:00, Agek called me and asked my help to pick up her husband Ronald at Karawaci. I misheard, I thought we're going to BSD which is closer. And I was confused when she kept driving and didn't stop at BSD. My mind must be somewhere else as she said she told me that it's Karawaci for more than once. Hehe. But it's all good.
The last time I went to Karawaci I think was in 2005. Mom passed away in a hospital here. I didn't know the progress of Karawaci, and I was quite surprised seeing a very cool bookstore there. Unfortunately, it's already closed when we got there.
It's raining very hard tonight, and it rained even harder when we arrived in Karawaci. Ronald was still in a meeting, so we two were waiting for him at a nearby restaurant named "Betawi Kitchen" that serves authentic Jakartan food. "Betawi" itself is another name for "Jakarta".
My favorite ornaments in that restaurant are these Indonesian puppets.
And this tricycle is called "becak" - which you can find also in Singapore. I think Hong Kong also got a tricycle, but the "driver" pulls the passengers instead of riding the vehicle. Yeah, it's quite inhuman, but that's the way some people do to survive...
It's still raining when Ronald was done with the meeting. Not many people were there, and a waiter of Betawi Kitchen was so nice that she sent us to the parking lot as we didn't bring an umbrella.
On our way back home, we stopped at a gas station as their car was hungry. Suddenly Agek pointed the rear glass window and said, "Look, Connie! They look like sperms!" I laughed and took my camera. I think they really look like dancing sperms LOL
It's 11:15 when my good kidnappers sent me home. Safe and sound. And yes, my evening definitely was better than my day time - and I'm looking forward to a better tomorrow!
Later, Vox :)
When I went to flea market in the neighborhood (walking distant, 5 minutes only from my place) at 08:00 with Dad and Miskiyah, they were just getting ready to start the business. Dad got bored the minute we got there, so Miskiyah sent him home first. Most things that were sold there were clothings (batik, mostly) and food.
When I walked alone, I saw a familiar face. It was Lita - my long lost friend! We went to the same high school and she was in the same class with me. It's been like 20 years since the last time we meet. Whoa! She was selling batik there with her husband and found out that she's my neighbor! Just a block away! It's a small world after all! She said she were thinking of me recently and wondering where I was. A couple of weeks ago, she attended a friend's wedding at the Cathedral and the piano player looked exactly like me, so she thought it was me :D I bought a batik dress and a batik tank-top from her.
When I was at Lita's stall, suddenly a pretty girl grabbed my waist. I was shocked! It's Chloe, and she came together with her mother (Agek), Jethro and their maid (Nia). Jethro didn't want anything, but playing at the playground :D
While Jethro was playing there - accompanied by Nia - Agek, Chloe and I had our little breakfast. Chloe and I had "bihun bakso" (rice noodle with meat balls) and Agek had "siomay Bandung". We had young coconut ice as our drink. It's refreshing!
Then suddenly Ronald was there, too - when Chloe was having face painting. Jethro also wanted his cute face to get painted, but he got sad after that. He didn't like the little tiger he had on his little face :)
Before we went back home, we took more pictures at the lake next to the flea market. This is the picture of the happy family :) We've been friends for years, and we've been living in the same neighborhood for almost 2 years now.
I had a good Saturday morning. Now I'm going to get some rest before meeting Vivi and Ella later at Hard Rock. Happy hours! I will be home around 11 pm, so try not to miss me too much ;)
Loathes
- My internet connection has been very stupid and unreliable since 2 days ago. I have to use dial-up connection when I want to upload files.
- Chantique, the mother of Cherry and Cherie, still doesn't want to stay close to the puppies :(
- Danny can't make it to Hard Rock tonight.
- It's a public holiday here.
- The puppies are 4 day-old now. They are getting bigger, they cry louder, and YAY for the joy they bring to us, especially to me!
- Agek, Ronald and Jethro came to visit the puppies this morning. I was too busy to take the moment with my camera, though :)
- I got a new phone in my room to replace the old one that's been broken for months. Bought it yesterday at Carrefour.
- I don't feel like going to Hard Rock tonight, so it's fine that Danny can't make it :D
- The good scrambled eggs I made myself for dinner. I can't find the milk, but it still tastes yummy :)
Jethro: Where's your car?
Me: I've no car. Don't you feel sorry for me?
Jethro: Yeah.
Me: So, can we trade my dogs and your car?
Jethro: Sure!
FYI, Jethro is 5 year-old and he's serious with my "offer". His parents didn't give any comment. I guess they're agree with our trading deal! :D
I was chatting with Susan and was about to do my Vox Hunt and QotD when someone called out my name in front of my house. It's Agek and Ronald! Yay! They live very close to my place, and they sometimes took me out for fun. Just hanging out somewhere in our area, chatting, gossiping, having some food :D I almost had nothing tonight, just 2 bottles of Teh Botol and a plate of cheese french fries that we three shared. But I was so happy that they saved me from the dull moment :)
They shared this "Kris Kros Hotdog" themselves. Oh, and also the chocolate milkshake.
I missed Indonesian Idol tonight, but I was happy. *
Oh, and thank you everyone who's joined Friday 13 and played up this week!
Thank God it's Friday!
* 01:19 am. Just found out that Korea won. Indonesia lost. Maybe we should convert our currency into "won" like Koreans, so we'll win the game next time. Tee-hee.
