I was so sad that I'd been lost in touch with [Susan] and a[Ŷ]a, and I was wondering where and how they'd been. Just found out today that they'd been sick the last few days, but seems like their health is recovering. Praise God!
Another dear friend of mine, Iwan, also has been sick for few days ago. He's having a typhoid just like some Jakartans at the moment. He's getting better too today, but has to go for another lab test tomorrow.
I thank God that my friends are all in His care and that their health is improving. I know they will get better and gain their health back again in time soon! Amen!
How are you making the holidays merrier for your loved ones?
I don't have any plan and maybe I will just stay at home this Christmas, doing nothing special.
Anyway, Dad complained that his skin has been itchy at night and it's happened for a week. I thought it's related to his diabetes or maybe he just got bitten by mosquitoes, but anyway I took him to see a doctor yesterday and temporarily she said that it's related to his kidneys which I think so as he doesn't drink much water everyday as I told him. Bad, bad, bad "son" of mine! We're not sure yet though until we go for a lab test by next week.
He said he didn't feel itchy anymore last night after taking the doctor's medicine. Thank God for that. My Dad won't feel itchy anymore this Christmas and I'm sure it somehow makes his Christmas merrier :)
To all my Muslim friends and neighbors. And to all slaughtered cows, lambs and goats in the world, let me wish you: Rest in Pain.....
I am thankful today because:
- Miskiyah spends quality time with her family in her hometown. She said she's so happy :)
- It's been almost a week without her, but I can do the housework myself. I am not that useless, eh? Yay me :D
- My dogs love the food I cooked for them, even though they like their own dog food better :D
- Dad and I had a great father-daughter time together this morning when we went shopping at Carrefour.
- My friends and loved ones are all in perfect health.
- I have been cured myself from cough and flu.
- The rainy season is here. The wind blows and that natural fan is much better than the electronic one. Hehe.
- God is amazing. In so many wonderful and miraculous ways.
I've been doing the housework since a couple of days ago since Miskiyah won't be around until second week of October. It's fun to feed the dogs, to cook for Dad, but I really don't like cleaning :) Miskiyah just arrived at her hometown of Pekalongan at 18:00 yesterday and she's supposed to arrive at the dawn, but the traffic was so bad. Poor lady.....
I took Dad for a walk yesterday and he had so much fun :) We went to Dian Mini Mart close to my place where Mr. Sunset bought his drinks, cigarettes and favorite ice cream there. The cashiers were asking for him, and I said he will be here again in few months :)
I watched some movies too and I really like one of the movies Vivi borrowed me. "El Cantante" which means "The Singer". It's based on the true story of the King of Salsa, Hector Lavoe.
I've never heard the name of Hector Lavoe before, but I am really interested in his life story. So tragic - just like other famous celebrities who built their fame from zero. I just read his bio on Wiki and learned that he had a child with another woman - which wasn't told in the movie...
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy women, drugs, fame, and death.
Something's wrong and strange with my internet connection. I have no problem with it in the day time, but not in the evening. Last night, I called them and they sent a technician to fix it at 23:00-ish. It's fine after he fixed the connection, but not for too long. I couldn't upload a single page/file after he left for less than 30 minutes! I called them again, and I talked to the technician. He said it must be the radio and I was scheduled to be visited this morning to get my radio changed again. Yes, two guys came over to my place, but they didn't bring the new radio! I hope my connection will be just fine this evening, or I'd cry and sulk! Ugh!
I left my XL cellphone in Vivi's car on Saturday. I was careless. So for the last few days, I couldn't be in touch with anyone using that phone. Fortunately, I have another phone - but my XL phone is my "default" phone. Vivi is so sweet that she came over to my place this afternoon to give my phone back with Atilla and she brought me a parcel of beer, orange juice, energy drink, chocolate wafer cream, Chinese white wine, and fruity vodka :D She said it's my belated birthday gift. Hehe.
The weather today is still hot, but not as bad as yesterday. I might want to take shower later, or nap.
Until then, Vox.
Show us what's on your grill.
I don't celebrate Labor's Day and I have no grill, but this is just something I snacked today. Onion Prata with cheese and smoked beef. Yum :)
:(
- The new house is so hot. Not "hot" hot, but really hot. My room is as hot as an oven in day time, I couldn't nap even though I was sleepy.
- I met the old house owner today and he charged me for the damage that's caused by my dogs... It's my responsibility, but it hurts my pocket :)
- I haven't unpacked my stuff. The house still looks like a wrecked ship.
- My dogs are stressful because of the change.
- The grocery store is further from here. I have to take a taxi to get there now.
- I haven't found my MMC and card reader, so I can't take pictures.
- I haven't met the new house owner. She's still holding my ID card.
- I have a much bigger bedroom. Yay!
- Dad loves the new place more than the old one.
- Miskiyah's room is also bigger now.
- We bought the rice today and other stuff. So far, I think we have all we need.
- The room is getting colder in the evening. Thank God that I slept well last night.
- There are less mosquitoes here. Those little vampires!
- The dogs have their own playground now :)
Yani - Miskiyah's 10 year-old girl - has been saving her money since 10 months ago and she already got Rp. 300,000.00 inside her piggy bank, but yesterday all the money was stolen when the house was empty... No one knows who stole it. The piggy bank was still there, but it's broken and empty...
Yani has been crying since yesterday. She wanted to buy new clothes with the money, but now it's all gone. Her mother has saved all the salary she got for over a year and she wants to spend it for Eid ul-Fitr in early October.
Poor little girl. I want to buy her some clothes and send them to her, but her mother said I'd better give her (the mother) the money :)
:(
- I bought a novel about 3 weeks ago and just got a chance to read it few days ago and I got SO disappointed. The title is "Cinta Terindah, Cinta Terlarang" ("The Most Beautiful Love, The Forbidden Love") by Beno Aksara. It's one of the most boring books I've ever read! x(
- Packing stuff! Yikes! These are not all as there are many things still that have to be packed (and to be thrown away).
- Danny still hasn't bought a new dining set, so when I move in to the new house, I still have to wait.
- Ronald and Agek also will not move out until end of next month - which means for a month, I will have almost no furniture in the new place.
- I miss Susan... since she's busy with her niece and her niece's friend from Holland :)
- The owner of new house initially said that we can't move in before 10-14 days, but this morning she called and said we can move out sooner! Woohoo! The house will be ready on Saturday! I think we will start moving out our stuff on Saturday and we will move there on Monday.
- The internet down time. It wasn't as bad as I thought. It didn't even take the technician fix it for too long!
- One of the new Vox themes I am using now for my blog. SO me! :)
- Hello Quizzy.
