Rujak Buah
Just want to show you what I had after lunch today as my dessert of the day :)
It's basically "fruit salad", but Indonesian rujak is quite different from Singaporean and Malaysian rojak. It's not just a matter of the letter "u" and "o". It's just different.
There are supposed to be 7 kind of fruits in it, but I don't really like cucumbers and sweet potatoes in my rujak, so there are only: water apples, pineapples, mangoes, jicama and kedondong.
You can try and make "rujak buah" yourself at home. Try this recipe. Skip the chili if you don't want it spicy. I can't stand spicy food myself :) And you change jicama to apples if it's hard to find there at your place.
By the way, I'm still waiting for Vivi's call. We might meet up later at Hard Rock if her Mom is well today and/or she has found a babysitter for Attila.
