Indonesian Corn Fritters

Ingredients

  • 1 can of sweet corn
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of flour
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of ground coriander seed powder

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. If it's too runny, add a little more flour.
  3. Fry one tbs to make one corn cake until it turns golden brown.
  4. Serve with chilli sauce.

Tips

  • Add baking soda if you want to make it fluffier and softer.
  • It would be good with shrimps as well.

Yum, this looks good. In the southern states we have Conch Fritters from the Conch shell and with out anything added to them we call em hushpuppies- why I have no idea but good none the less. :)
