Culture QotW: It's Just Nice to Be Acknowledged
Do you ever read the "Acknowledgments" at the beginning or end of a book? Why or why not? Bonus points: What book contains your favorite acknowledgments?

I do sometimes if the writers sound interesting which I can learn from the first paragraph of their acknowledgments. If the first paragraph is boring, I won't continue reading it.
I really have no favorite acknowledgments part in a book, but anyway here are some from my the novel I just finished reading yesterday:
- People are fascinating. And what's even more fascinating is the fact that you will learn a whole about yourself by analyzing how you respond to what they say.
- Wida Martoyo - You're still my Xanac, Prozac, and now even my Ritalin, Wid.
- Tofan Alam - Don't know what I'd do without your unimportant, childish, screwy, but funny-as-hell text messages everyday.
- Edwin Ronaldy - Any of our serious, stupid and witty, phone conversations.
- God - May this talent that You have bestowed upon me will never go to waste.
You rock, Ika Natassa :)
